EDIT: Perhaps I should have included a content warning from the beginning. Better late than never I suppose
Anyways, Content Warning (for the game, not the post): pretty much everything. Not a joke, pretty much everything. slurs, racial stereotyping, blood, gore, mentions of rape/sexual assault, various other unpleasant stuff, and also flashing lights in one specific scene.
Aside from those, there's also bad writing and a confusing plot that makes even less sense to people not familiar with in-jokes.
It's been 4 long years, but I've finally managed to finish the stupid damn game.
So what's the premise? It's very simple:
Mike and his community live in a terrible run down settlement on the Natto peninsula. One day, the RUC somehow gathered up a giant army and wrecks the settlement, scattering everyone, and beginning their path of conquest over the rest of the peninsula. Of course guess who has to defeat them...
I mean there's a little bit more to it than that, but yeah that's pretty much the premise.
So what are your expectations for this game? Are you expecting a super wacky memefest full of Mike's greatest hits in the World of Nnemonic? Well...
The game's not going to be like that. It might seem somewhat humorous and wacky, but for all intents and purposes, it might not feel like a "True" Mike game, so to speak. But that's just from my perspective
Anyways...
Features:
Three different scenarios to play through, before unlocking the final one to finish off the story
War battles that are basically just glorified rock-paper-scissors
Lots of characters who play a minimal role in the plot
Classic and traditional turn-based battles reminiscent of Final Fantasy games of old
Terrible storytelling
Ugly art
Stolen music
Stolen sound effects
Storytelling that gets really weird, narrative-wise later on
May catch your attention for about 30 minutes before you inevitably shelve it and never look at it again
and more!

Hey, so if you had played through the demo version of the game I released way back, your save files should probably still work. However...
I highly recommend starting the game all over, just to see the completed parts of the game and also because there are probably some bugs that are stuck with the older saves

Important notes:
YOU MAY ALSO FIND A FILE (SHORTCUT) TO OPEN THE GAME IN WINDOWED MODE INSIDE YOUR CRASHOCALPYSE FOLDER. BEFORE YOU CLICK THAT, YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE FILE DESTINATION TO WHERE YOUR FOLDER IS LOCATED IN BY EDITING SHORTCUT PROPERTIES.
IT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ONLY PLAY THE GAME IN WINDOWED MODE.
IF YOU OPEN THE GAME IN FULL SCREEN, YOU CAN CHANGE IT TO WINDOWED BY PRESSING F4
Also, if you have the steam or otherwise official version of RPGmaker 2000, then I wouldn't recommend using those to play this game, it might lead to some weirdness or something.
Some final thoughts:
I am really happy I've been able to finish this game. This is pretty much my FIRST finished RPGmaker project. Was it really worth it in the end? Probably not, but I guess I enjoyed the journey to some extent.
It's been 4-5 years or so since I started, oh my goodness. I've been determined to see this through to the end, even if it meant cutting some (a lot of, actually) corners along the way.
But it's fine, it's done, I can focus on some other stuff... and... whatever
BTW, you can also use this thread to report any bugs/glitches you come across, and also complain about some balancing issues. If some stuff seems too hard, or if some characters need a buff or nerf or whatever something like that, you can complain about that here. I might fix it, or I might just be too tired to bother.
