I've been playing through dark souls 3 in offline only lately, mostly to avoid hackers since they seem to be an issue lately.
I just finish beating a particularly interesting boss, and decide to turn on my online to help some other folks at beating it through jolly cooperation.
I help a couple of people, have some fun, everyone's enjoying themselves.
Then as I help my third co-op partner of the day, an invader comes. He hits me and my maximum HP goes up to something ridiculous, I get every single random effect added to my character and my blade starts glowing, the host alt-f4's out of panic.
Now I realize that literally the first invader I find in the game is a hacker, and he might've gotten my account flagged for "cheating", so I may end up getting banned from the online part of the game in a few days.
Fun times, eh?
At least I can play offline easily enough, but goddamn why do people even do this shit.

Nope, heard about that guy but this was some dude named YOU COOL YET?!
As soon as the notification that he'd shown up appeared I had a really bad feeling.
Seems like he hasn't managed to get me banned, I think, because the host alt-f4'd fast enough, which is good.
