Another stupid annoyance:
Me forcing to be in Safe Mode because I somehow got a virus that is installing adware at such a fast rate that it killed my Avast meaning I can't fucking scan shit and it gave me a BSOD.

Sorry about the computer Bern, hope you can work it out.
Related annoyance: Today, I was surfing the web, redirected to something that said I had a virus, couldn't leave the page. Luckily I have learned from my mistakes from when I was and knew what to do, but it still pisses me off people like ruining other's tech for giggles.
I also hate that safe mode blows everything up to look so huge, like it's computers for seniors.

Okay so I managed to get it booted in Safe Mode and I uninstalled all the adware shit it was making. I realized it would add in another unrelated adware program to replace it. In Safe Mode it couldn't do that so I managed to uninstall it. My Avast began to work afterwards but it wasn't the kind of program that scanned during Safe Mode.
And it also deleted my Madoka Chrome Skin too. Not too mad about that though since I was meaning to give my Chrome a new look for a while now. Still though.
I am SO scanning the shit out of my computer now.

And I might as well add this on top: Finding a good Chrome skin with good coloration is hard. It really is. At least THAT is the big issue for me ATM than what I had to go through a few minutes ago.

Nevermind it's back and this time it force installs shit regardless if I do ANYTHING.
It literally gave me a choice of "Install" or "Cancel" with no way to even force it off, no way to click it off. I click "Cancel" and it installs anyways...

Had to install Malwarebytes. Did a scan and wound up with... 189 viruses and Malware SOMEHOW.
Somehow doing my daily routine of checking the usual sites I go to, I somehow got all that in one fucking click.
I don't know how but I did.

Okay. Seems like the only issue remaining is that certain applications and programs seem to flicker and fidget ever so slightly when I use them. When I boot up Windows Media Player and the Umineko VN I notice it flickers the most on those two.
But at LEAST that constitutes as a small annoyance rather than what I dealt with all day.

Well my PS3 controller and charger just died on me while playing The Stick of Truth. Started with the character just walking in a fixed direction and now it won't work at all and the charger stopped well, charging the controller.
Ah well, I can get a new controller and charger soon.

I used to fantasize about having enough money to have one really powerful gaming computer that would be disconnected from the internet where all my gaming would be, and an alternate computer I could use to browse the internet and stuff, because I was so afraid of getting a virus. Viruses suck, I'm glad I haven't gotten any for around 3 years now, last time I had them I had to get professional help to get rid of it. Basically my ideal setup here. Never had to get professional help though, luckily. |
